The number of confiscated golf umbrellas yesterday...

On a more light hearted note I couldn't believe the number of umbrellas confiscated.
I got there a couple of minutes after kick off so there was virtually no one else at the turnstiles and the stewards must have had at 50 golf umbrellas that they had taken off people. As I was going in the head steward was coming out with another armful and giving the kids on the door a bollocking for letting people in with them.
Any one on here have one taken off them? Did you get them back? Or are the stewards going to be knocking them out for a couple of quid down the market?

I would have thought it was obvious people wouldn't be allowed to take big golf umbrellas into football, given that for years we're not even trusted with a lid for a bottle of pop.
Probably newcomer mongs who don't get that who had theirs kept. No problems with this at all, Gavvy.

I can't really recall every seeing anyone at UP with a golf umbrella to be honest.
I thought it was bad that we are now attracting grasses, thugs and dim tourists and now it appears we are attracting the low-life that are GOLF FANS.

can't really recall every seeing anyone at UP with a golf umbrella to be honest.
Probably because it wasn't a 20 minute walk from the station in the pissing rain and there was a roof that did what a roof is meant to do
